Jane Fallon
Jane Fallon (born 9 December 1960) is the author of five best-selling novels, ''Skeletons'', ''Getting Rid of Matthew'' (which reached number 7 in the Nielsen Bookscan Fiction Top 10 in 2007), ''Got You Back'' (number 5 in 2008), ''Foursome'' (number 8 in 2010) and ''The Ugly Sister'' (number 2 in 2011). She is a former television producer and her most famous work is on the popular series ''Teachers'', ''20 Things To Do Before You're 30'', ''EastEnders'', ''This Life'' and the short-lived 1990 Space Soap ''Jupiter Moon''. In 2011, ''Foursome'' was nominated for the Melissa Nathan Award for Romantic Comedy Fiction.
Fallon has been in a relationship with comedian Ricky Gervais since 1982.
==Early life==
Fallon's parents had a newsagent's shop. She grew up in a flat above her parents' shop. She was educated at St Bernard's Convent School in Slough, Berkshire and University College London.
